Travel Russia

Russia is a country famous for the saying (a riddle wrapped in a mystery and inside of it another puzzle can be seen). People looking from outside of Russia will have only obscure ideas more than ground realities. The glories of old Russia and the dowdy Legacies of Soviet Russia are interesting to know indeed. It is a land of snow and the winters are deadly and well said that both January and February are the most powerful Military generals of Russia. Like the historic saying (the sun never sets in the British Empire) it is also said (the mid summer never sets in Russia) People are generally merciful and magnanimous because they love to suffer during the biting cold season.

Dangerous Regions

Travelers are even now given caution words not to visit some areas; Chechnya, Dagestan, and Ingushetia are not fit for first time tourists as they are conflict regions. The Russian authorities too warn the travelers against the possibilities of attacks. In spite of it, people visit such places as they exercise an irresistible fascination for them.

If traveling is equaled with romance, the best for it is Trans-Siberian Railway and the visit is coupled with the spirit of adventure or trotting on distant lands. Lake Baikal

Baikal is the world?s oldest fresh water lake; it is also the deepest lake as well as the biggest one in the world. Water is lapping on the shore as clear as crystal. St. Petersburg :

The city is known for its elegance and stateliness; fairy tales can speak different matter of different age. Vladivostok

A jolly ride in the ferry near the harbor is of immense satisfaction. As the language is not usual thing to be spoken if a traveler learns just 100 Russian words as expected he will conclude that his travel is successful

Mamaev Kurgan

Mamaev Kurgan is another well known place in Russia as Hill 102 at the time of the battle of Stalingrad. The fighting went on for four months and a visit to this place will kindle the historic sensational feelings. Any traveler will be struck with homage to be paid to those who gave their life during the bloody battle; now the area is covered with fortifications, statues, and memorials.

How to survive during the cold season:

Curonian Spit is a sand dune peninsula; it is 98kilo meters long, separating Curonian lagoon. Sight seeing is a source of delight that one must go there to accept the fact. Shlisselburg is another remarkable heritage site. The fortress is an additional charm to be added to it. It is 45 kilo meters from the city of St. Petersburg. The former name of the site is Petrokrepost Virgin Komi Forest is another vital heritage site. It is one of the largest boreal virgin forests in Europe; the area is noted for its rivers, lakes and peat bogs. The volcanoes of Kamchatka create good impression in the mind of onlookers who are compelled to come again to the site; there are twelve volcanoes to be a strange factor in Russia.

Thus Russia as we have seen from this information is a riddle wrapped place. If we are to unravel this riddle then we need to be there in Russia to do it and to get to know the country better.
